How do I get started?
- Give me your photos, either by uploading digital images to a shared drive or giving me prints to scan. I'll edit the pictures, design the book and craft the words to tell your story. All prints will be promptly returned.
- If you want captions and narrative copy, we will work on those together.
- Preview the project, make edits, approve and order.

What is the pricing?
- $4.50 per page with a 20-page minimum, plus tax (Storyline design services), plus charges for photo book vendors (see below). See full pricing on How It Works.
- The Base Storyline Book Package includes custom layout and design plus scanning of up to 40 photos at 600 DPI. Minimum scanning fee: $30 per project to cover setup and digital organization.
- Additional physical photos are billed at $0.40 per photo (standard 600 DPI) or $2.50 per photo (premium flatbed). Album handling and sorting & curation are $45 per hour. See scanning & sorting rates.
- Printing, tax and shipping are paid to the photo book vendor (Shutterfly, Mixbook, Vistaprint, etc.). Storyline researches and recommends the best vendor for your project, and any vendor discounts are applied. More on vendor costs.
- Payment is due upon placement of order, based on the estimated number of pages and book specs. An estimate is supplied before work begins, and adjustments can be made if more pages are added.
- ACH, Venmo, cash and Zelle preferred. We also accept Visa and Mastercard.
How should I organize photos before sending them?
Please bring or ship photos roughly organized (by year, event, or family member) when possible. If photos arrive unsorted, a sorting and curation fee of $45/hour applies so I can group them into chapters and a clear storyline. See scanning & sorting details or how to prepare your photos.
When can I expect my delivery?
We will establish deadlines and delivery dates once you have made a payment.
Who prints the book?
I use a variety of photo book sites, including Shutterfly, Mixbook, and Vistaprint. I will research and recommend the best one for your project. See printing & vendor costs for details.
What about other products, such as greeting cards, invitations and home decor?
Most sites offer a variety of products, and I can help with those, also. Pricing fluctuates, so I charge $10 for each image + the price for the product, tax and delivery.
